The Canadian Journal of Philosophy provides financial support for philosophical conferences held in Canada. Over the last decade we have contributed almost $70,000 in this way, to a wide range of events.

FUNDING LEVELS

We can provide funding of up to $2,000 per application, although the amounts available per application will depend on how much funding is requested overall.

ELIGIBILITY

• The grants are open to anyone enrolled in, or employed by, a philosophy program in Canada.

• Applications to fund undergraduate and graduate conferences should be sponsored by a faculty member (who is identified in the application).

• It is expected that the conference will receive some funding from departmental and university sources.

• Funded conferences must be open to the public, and charge at most a modest registration fee.
